180 Watch Bracelet Cuff diy

18 March 2010- When you buy a long necklace, you are not just buying one necklace but a couple. The simplest of long necklaces can be worn in many ways: double looped around the neck, slung over the shoulder, coiled around the arm as a chunky cuff, or even entwined with another necklace to create the torsade effect (see my previous post). Today I have draped and looped the same old mixed chain knot necklace around my wrist watch to fake a bejewelled watch cuff.

Tucking the chains snugly around my wrist and watch held the cuff combination together only for fifteen minutes; thereafter the chains on the left of my cuff fell across my watch face, obscuring it from view. Thankfully it was spared with no scratches, but with the chains unable to stay in position any longer I decided it was best to take my experiment off. Another time I think I would employ wits and safety pins to better secure my chains in place...
