Saturday Randomness
It's finally the weekend, yay! I really needed the day to just veg out. And to not have to get up before/at 7AM was really really nice. I wish I'd actually gotten to sleep in, though. I had to get a haircut this morning because I couldn't make it there last Wednesday, and let me just say how much I dislike 9AM on a Saturday. But since I was forced to get up early this morning and go somewhere, I did get to run some errands. When I was out, I grabbed the ads from Circuit City and Best Buy so I could check prices and compare them to the sale prices for Deep Discount's 25% off sale that's going on (use the code 'SUPERSALE' to get 25% off DVD orders!). Both ads had Folie à Deux listed. Apparently someone missed that memo four weeks ago about pushing the release date back, and forgot to change the ad. Or maybe they actually print them a month in advance. Whatever, it was kind of faily on their part. Although, on the plus side, I did find out via that ad that both stores will be selling it for $9.99, and that Best Buy has a $13.99 deluxe edition with five bonus tracks (what could they be? *crosses fingers for untagged versions of the mixtape songs*). It just made me sad that I still have to wait another month. I want it now! /whining
I also finally got a chance to take a look at my pictures from the Panic shows. Wow, a lot of them came out blurry! But I got some amazing ones, too, and some fantastic video (Brendon drumming! ♥). I'll try to work on posting those soon.
But mostly I've been laying around feeling a little bit crappy and trying to feel better. It looks like I'll most likely succeed at that by tomorrow, which is awesome, since I really don't want to actually get sick. I can't take any time off of work, so it would be good if my throat was really done being sore. I passed a lot of the time reading articles and watching footage on YouTube about Obama's new Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel (sklasjd;falskhdf HE IS AWESOME!). Do yourself a favor and check out the links in this post. And watch this, OMG. The next several years (eight, please god) are going to be amazing.
Tomorrow, I probably have to get up early again so I can go in to dad's office to do some more editing on the video of that wedding I filmed a few weeks ago, but for some reason I really don't want to do it. I just have to force myself to get off my ass and go in anyway, since they're counting on me to have it for them in a couple of weeks. I really don't want to do it, though! I think I'm just not that happy with the footage I got, so I don't want to see it at all. Hopefully it turned out better than I think/remember, and I'll be able to get through it pretty quickly. I plan to edit the ceremony tomorrow, and work on the reception on Tuesday, since I don't have work.
