Happy Thursday (at least so far)
Happy Belated Valentines Day, everyone! Or, if you're not a fan of the holiday, Happy Thursday! I never really do anything for VDay, except maybe buying some of those candy hearts the day after (which I did, a big bag for 49 cents, baby!). But Dad surprised me and Mom at dinner with gifts. DVDs! I got Zathura, which I saw last year with a free ticket (was great, btw). Mom got a very interesting Cirque du Soleil DVD, which should be neat to watch. Now all I need to buy this week is Grey's Anatomy Season One.
I have been meaning to post my reactions to this week's Supernatural, which I tried to keep track of in real time, but they were pretty much reduced to a bunch of incoherent squeeing (which, randomly enough, Semagic thinks should be squeegeeing). I'm going to watch the ep again so I can try to expand them into something meta-ish. We'll see how that goes.
I did however, make a couple of notes about Gilmore Girls, which I think work well enough on their own. Like for example, Luke is currently the front runner for biggest idiot on the planet. I swear, how difficult would it have been for him to ask Lorelai what she was doing at 3, so maybe she and April could finally meet. Grr. And I was just getting my hopes up earlier in the episode when they decided to elope. I should have known, what with the propensity for television to never allow two main characters to have happy relationships at the same time (or to allow anyone to be happy for a long period, really).
Also, I can't believe Emily put that announcement in the paper. I mean I can, but ugh. Although the fallout from that should be highly entertaining.
Anyway, not much going on with me right now. I think I am done with school. Too soon to tell, but will definitely know something in the next couple of weeks. Here's hoping! *crosses fingers* I definitely fucked up my sleep schedule totally, though, since I have been unable to fall asleep until 6ish most "nights", and have been waking up in time for dinner. It's not like I don't try to sleep, but just laying there for hours on end is definitely not my idea of a good time. Hopefully, I can get it fixed up by this weekend. I also need to make myself some fandom-related icons, as I have almost nothing to work with, and tons of empty spaces.
