Harry Potter Mania
I'm currently sitting in the middle of Borders, waiting to line up to get Half-Blood Prince. I am number 556 and 557 (getting one for Mom too), so I expect it to be a while. I browsed around and got some books to use my 25% off coupons on, so I am just waiting now.
I am very tempted to grab a copy of OotP that is right around the corner and continue to read it. I'm on chapter eighteen now (read a bunch yesterday and a teeny bit today), and plan to read that until I'm done, then immediately start the new one. No online activity, especially LJ until then, since I got massively spoiled for OotP last time (Sirius's death, anyone? Yeah.).
I'm working tomorrow at Mom's store, so I will be able to read the entire time when there are no customers. I'm honestly quite excited for this. I know some people in fandom are less than thrilled, but since I started re-reading OotP I've been getting more excited for HBP. I think that however it goes, it will be great.
Hmm...eavesdropping on the girls standing around next to me it sounds like the line is going to be different than last year. They were reading the directions, and it seemed complicated. Good thing I grabbed a basket so that I won't ruin the books from sweaty hands (very warm with all the people here). Plus, they will be giant, I'm sure.
Well, I think I'll post now (if I can, low signal), since I want to make sure I can get in line. Will post about my Mass trip soon (will have time this weekend), then a HBP review.
