So much filming to do, so little time. I actually think I'm still cold from last night. Setting up shots in the middle of a freezing street in an unfortunately light jacket is not exactly conducive to warmth. Twenty minutes in, the tips of my fingers started to get numb from the cold. After the first hour, I couldn't feel my legs (the curse of too thin pants, I guess). We did, however, get some really great shots. I am feeling much better about our opening scene, especially since I think we totally wasted our three hours in the edit suites on Sunday, editing a bunch of total crap. Now with these new shots, I think the car scene is going to look awesome.
Tomorrow, we're doing (hopefully) all of our bathroom scenes. So when that's done, we'll have over half of the scenes filmed. I can't wait. I can't wait for it to be completely done, since I think we're going to be filming our huge ending scene outside in the freezing cold of next Friday. At least I'll have my winter coat by then. And hopefully we can get the scene done in less than four hours. Yes, seriously four hours. These things always take way longer than expected. Which sucks. Especially since there is always something I'd rather be doing instead. Like watching Firefly. Or John Doe. Unless, of course, FOX cancels them. Grr...
I mean, what is up with that? Canceling girls club after two episodes? My reign of terror over law shows continues, apparently. Three for three at this point. If there is a new show about lawyers that shows promise, don't let me watch it, because it will get cancelled. I'm cursed. And this doesn't just apply to law shows all the time, either. I really liked Push, Nevada, but apparently, ABC couldn't stand to keep it on for more than seven episodes. Just when it was getting really really interesting, too. I swear, when I talked to my mom yesterday and she said "guess what FOX just cancelled?", I had this horrible moment where I thought it was going to be Firefly. Thank god it wasn't. I mean, aside from the fact that FOX would be making a huge mistake, I really don't like crying in front of strangers. And I would've. I could feel it coming on. And then mom said "girls club" and I breathed this enormous sigh of relief. Really, it's not as if two episodes were enough for me to get into the characters. And besides, I can just watch Everwood anyway.
Oh, crap. 7:40. Better brave the cold and get something for dinner so I can commence with my horror movie marathon. Happy Halloween, everyone! :)
