What do you mean it's only Tuesday?! Also, a meme.

So, got absolutely nothing done today, and I found out that all the reading I did for my scriptwriting quiz this Thursday was for naught, since we are now having story conferences with the professor this week. *sigh* I'd best get cracking on my script.

Hmm, well maybe I did get something done today. If you count spending over $100 on DVDs and CDs (yay, Indiana Jones Trilogy box set! New Barenaked Ladies album!), then I got a lot done. Going to Best Buy is so frustrating, though, since they always seem to be out of whatever I want that is on sale. And I really had my heart set on a cheap copy of Misery, too. *pout*

And because I just can't get enough of procrastinating, I thought, "hey, why not fill out a time consuming meme!" So, gacked from various people on my friends list, the 49 things meme.

1. Your name spelled backwards.
neenahc (or, arual, if you prefer)

2. Where were your parents born?
Mom: Rochester, NY (she lived in Pittsford, but the hospital was in Rochester, I believe.)
Dad: Wilmington, NC (I think. My dad moved around a bunch when he was young.)

3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer?
Am currently downloading 2 QaF episodes and a Gilmore Girls ep. Just finished downloading some great songs from nmalfoy's Vietnam War playlist from today.

4. What's your favourite restaurant?
Tough question. Small local restaurant would probably be The Hacienda in Scranton, PA. As for chain restaurant, I absolutely love The Olive Garden.

5. Last time you swam in a pool?
Once this summer in Phoenix. The water was ridiculously warm.

6. Have you ever been in a school play?
I've done various crew stuff for all the plays we put on in high school. But acted in one? No.

7. How many kids do you want?
Right now, none. But I haven't decided for the future.

8. Types of music you dislike most?
Well, I like pretty much everything (really, I do). I guess the genre of music that has the least artists I like in it is rap. But I still like some rap music, so I don't know if that's a good answer or not.

9. Are you registered to vote?
Yes.

10. Do you have cable?
Yup. Digital Cable with a DVR (digital video recorder. Basically Time Warner Cable's version of TiVO).

11. Have you ever ridden on a moped?
Nope.

12. Ever prank call anybody?
Sadly enough, yes. But I was probably 10 or 11 at the time.

13. Ever get a parking ticket?
Well, I got a warning on Friday, because apparently, I've been parking in the wrong lot for the past two months. Grr, stupid SU parking!

14. Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving?
Probably. I'm deathly afraid of falling (not of heights, though, just falling), but I have always wanted to try bungee jumping. I think if I survived the bungee jumping, I'd probably try sky diving.

16. Do you have a garden?
No, but only because we don't really have enough room for an herb garden on our balcony.

17. What's your favorite comic strip?
FoxTrot. I'm also partial to Zits, Dilbert, and a few webcomics (Penny Arcade, rules!)

18. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem?
Well, I know the verse that they do at the beginning of baseball games. I'm told there's more, though.

19. Bath or Shower, morning or night?
Shower, and usually in the morning. I do enjoy baths, but don't ever seem to have enough time for them.

20. Best movie you've seen in the past month?
Well, since I've hardly seen any films in the past month, I'd have to say Veronica Guerin (check out my review, here). Not to say that this isn't a great movie, but I just haven't seen anything new (or that I hadn't seen 20 times before) at all recently.

21. Favourite pizza topping?
Hmm, probably extra cheese. I like everything except onions and peppers (they make me gag), but I am partial to extra cheese, pepperoni, and ham and mushroom.

22. Chips or popcorn?
Popcorn, all the way. But not with that fake "butter" crap we serve at the movie theater. Real butter and salt!

23. What colour lipstick do you usually wear?
Usually I just wear chapstick (so, clear), but I own a ton of different colors that I like to break out when I think of it.

24. Have you ever smoked peanut shells?
No. I don't know why you would, either.

25. Have you ever been in a beauty pageant?
Hahahahahaha! That's funny. No.

26. Orange Juice or apple?
Cranberry juice. But I do like both orange and apple juice.

27. Who was the last person you went out to dinner with and where did you dine?
My parents and I went to the Texas Roadhouse (chain restaurant) in Scranton. Excellent steak.

28. Favorite type of chocolate bar?
That's a tough one. I adore anything Cadbury, but am also partial to Three Musketeers and Whatchamacallit (as is evidenced by the big box of them in our kitchen).

29. When was the last time you voted at the polls?
Last presidential election (didn't vote for Bush!).

30. Last time you ate a homegrown tomato?
In July. My grandparents have a small garden (used to be bigger, but they've gotten older), which produces the most delicious tomatoes ever. Yum.

31. Have you ever won a trophy?
Yeah, a few. I was on my middle school's College Bowl team and we placed each year. I also got a trophy for being in AM Singers (chorus group in middle school that met before homeroom), and, probably something else school related.

32. Are you a good cook?
I'd like to think so. I make some really good things, and am trying to expand my repertoire.

33. Do you know how to pump your own gas?
Yes. Is it supposed to be hard?

34. Ever order an article from an infomercial?
Yeah. Well, make that no. We have both the Ron Popeil Grill (and pasta maker) and the Thunder Stick Mixer (which works really well), but both were purchased on QVC. So, we have gotten products that appear on infomercials, but not actually from the infomercials.

35. Sprite or 7-up?
Sprite all the way, baby!

36. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to work? How about school?
To school, no. Every job I've had so far required a uniform (McDonalds, and movie theaters, and even Lerner's to an extent (not that I really work there, but whatever)).

37. Last thing you bought at a pharmacy?
Hmm, probably picked up a prescription. I usually get stuff at Price Chopper, which has a pharmacy section.

38. Ever throw up in public?
Thankfully, no. Blech.

39. Would you prefer being a millionaire or find true love?
True love. But I'd like to be able to make enough money to live comfortably.

40. Do you believe in love at first sight?
No. I believe in attraction at first sight, but I think you really have to know someone to actually feel love for them.

41. Ever call a 1-900 number?
Nope.

42. Can ex's be friends?
Depends on the people, and the situation surrounding the breakup. But yeah.

43. Who was the last person you visited in a hospital?
Wow, I have no idea. None of my family lives nearby, so I have never needed to visit them in a hospital. Last time I was in a hospital, it was for my own surgery.

44. Did you have a lot of hair when you were a baby?
Average amount, I guess.

45. What did you eat today?
A bowl of Crispix, and chicken Szechwan from Stirrific (yay, Kimmel). Also, three fortune cookies.

46. What's your all time favourite Saturday Night Live Character?
As cliché as it may sound, I'm going to have to say Wayne and Garth. I *heart* Wayne's World.

47. What was the name of your first pet?
First pet that was ever mine was my cat Belle. But we had cats before I got her.

48. What is in your purse?
Front outside pocket: pen, keychain of grocery store bonus cards (CVS (yeah, not a grocery store), Gerrity's, P&C, Arby's Discount Card (also not grocery), Harris Teeter, BiLo, Price Chopper), movie ticket stubs (Terminator 3, Bruce Almighty, Matrix Reloaded, Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Finding Nemo, Italian Job, Seabiscuit, American Wedding (I didn't actually see this. I was going to turn in the ticket stub for a Best Buy rebate, but forgot.), Italian Job (yes, again), Down With Love, Identity, Matrix Reloaded (again), League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and 28 Days Later), Grand Canyon IMAX ticket.

Back outside pocket: comb, 2 memo pads, Texas Chainsaw Massacre Ltd. Edition DVD Raincheck from Best Buy, small appointment calendar from hairdresser's, Waldenbooks phone number, next hair appointment, checking account number (all on business cards), 3 Target receipts (from an exchange), an ATM receipt, "Passport of Savings" for Carousel Center.

Inside: wallet (many many receipts, credit cards, other cards, driver's license, some cash, a pen), sunglasses, kiwifruit hand lotion from New Zealand circa 1997, extra cellphone battery, 2 pens, orbit gum, wristband from swing dancing, plastic bag from mom's cell phone ear piece, Orbit gum, some trash I just threw away, yellow jasper, piece of plastic that was covering the magnetic half of the snap on the outside compartment of the purse when I got it, small hairbrush, makeup bag that came in the purse (inhaler, tea tree oil facial blotting tissues from Body Shop, Smashbox Lip Brilliance Stage 2 (3 lip glosses), roll of four peppermint Tums, mini tube of Aquaphor, Visine for Contacts, compact with regular and magnified mirrors, nail file).

Usually my keys and cellphone are also in my purse, but my cellphone is now next to my computer, and my keys are in the other room. Also, interestingly enough, only two of the four pens works, but I can't throw the others away (for purely sentimental reasons).

Man, there's a lot of stuff in my purse.

49. Favourite thing to do before bedtime?
Heh. I don't have a before bed routine. So, whatever needs to be done.

50. What is one thing you are grateful for today?
That my effing headache is gone. Like I said, I didn't get anything done today.

Ah, excellent waste of time. Now, to do work! Or actually, to bed!

meme, school
