Photo Story

The story behind this photograph is very close to my heart. I took this long exposure shot of a busy street in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from my hotel window.

This was during my first visit out of the country and KL was our first stop outside the sub continent. We had landed there only in the morning and I was very excited by the prospect of visiting the Petronas Towers the next day. Our stay that night was in the 15th floor of a hotel (whose name I just cant remember), the highest floor in a building I have every stayed
That night was also the eve of the Chinese new year and we got to see some amazing fireworks all night long.

But the reason I love this photograph the most is coz it was taken in my point and click without a tripod. I took it by actually tying my camera to my wrist and keeping it on the edge of a window on the 15th floor. I remember clearly, sticking my hand out of the window and pressing the shutter release taking care not to make the camera shake or fall off.

This is one of those photos that flood my mind with wonderful memories
