And so the night begins.
Going down to Big Nick's on B'way and 77th St to hang out with Alison and her boyfriend, Jeff. Then we're coming back uptown when Alejandra gets here via subway, getting her settled into my dorm room (which is still a complete mess) and then we're all going back to Jeff's apartment on 79th and 1st to bring in the New Year. Not quite as good as going out to NJ. But it's better than spending my New Year's alone.
I've had a lot happen this year. And overall, I'd give 2006 an 8 on a 1-10 scale. There have been some highs; there have been some lows. (There has been some Adam Rapp which is in a category all its own.) There has been the end of Colloquial Theater and the beginning of the BWTC education department. There have been Celebrity Charades, Agave receptions, nights in South Station, breakfasts (or not) around Washington Square, red-carpet opening nights, film festivals, productions of all shapes and sizes (and qualities) . . . It's been one exciting year.
But in the words of an acquaintance: "Get up 2006 Baby New Year- you're a toddler now. Go do something with your life. Beat it. Begone. Scram. Out of here."
Greetings and salutations, 2007!
