Pros of this summer so far:
+ Got the mediator job/internship for the Dispute Resolution Program under the LA Attorney General. I basically will try to help two parties resolve their dispute (problems range from neighbor/neighbor to business/consumer) without offering my own opinions. It's really hard learning not to offer your own input, but I'm working on it.
+ Spending time with Gloria (watchin movies, cooking, reading comic books, going to watch fireworks)
+ Learning to play the guitar. I'm slowly getting there...
+ Hanging out with my dear, "rebellious" bro. Haha puberty...I was there once.
+ Rewatching Family Guy DVDs
+ Watching movies I really enjoyed: Batman Begins, Hotel Rwanda. I think it was a pretty solid movie (compared to the last few batman movies). Christian Bale got the role down pretty well. Hotel Rwanda was very good; many scenes were just...heart-breaking.
Cons of this summer so far:
- Having to drive to downtown LA to work. Traffic is terrible: people turn into assholes who wont let you into the next lane, even when you flash your blinker for a bajillion years. *I suppose it can be argued that drivers in LA are already assholes even without traffic.
- Haven't really found time to hang out with friends. I'll work on it. Help me out and tell me if you wanna catch a bite to eat for lunch or something of the sort.
- Watching movies I didn't enjoy : Napoleon Dynamite, The Aviator, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I don't get why people like Napoleon Dynamite so much. WHY??? The Aviator was just too long and used all that extra time to focus again and again on the same psychological problem. The last movie...it was a free vcd. After Tom Sawyer was introduced as a secret agent from America...I began to realize why the vcd was free.
- Living at home with my parents. 'nuff said.
