So here's my belated response to the tag from Orr, (my friend who I will see at Carolina A LOT)
Five Songs I've been into as of late.

The Yardbirds - For Your Love-
this song brings back memories for me, but moreover when I put in the record it was quickly one of those records that you have tucked away that you end up loving in a different way. The song is radical, it features Mr. Clapton but I don't think anyone would know, he doesn't solo or anything. Either way-radical.

Bireli Lagrene - Jadis
Ever since I saw bits and peices of a movie called the sweet and lowdown I've had an incredible desire to find out more about Gypsy Jazz and Django Reinhardt. When I found Django finally I really enjoyed his stuff but the quality was really low. My search ultimately ended up with Bireli Lagrene. This man has studied this kind of music his entire life and is an amazing guitarist. He plays some Django and other artists of the time but I think this song is his. It's got a beautiful sound, you can hear classical baroque style influence in it, it's a beautiful song.

Madeleine Peyroux - J'Ai Deux Amours

This song is just absolutely beautiful. Although I don't listen to jazz 24/7, when I do though, there are only a few singers that I really enjoy of the opposing gender. This woman, Madeleine just has such a smooth voice...you can tell that she listened to a bit of Ella-she tries to purr like her. Also, this song makes me think of Sabrina and me in France...that's a good thought to think every time you listen to a song.

Phoenix - If It's Not With You
When I first got the free track from these guys off of iTunes I loved how funky and different their stuff was. I then bought the record, stopped listening to music for a while and came back and really fell in love with the songs on it. This song has such a fresh sound to it but it also sounds like something influenced in R&B or MoTown. These guys are French. It makes me feel nice, the last line is "the only one I want is you." I love it.

Cake - Wheels
Cake...my oh my. I love me some Cake. Absolutely amazingly funky Canadians with a monotone singer. What more could one ask for? I just recently heard the tracks from this record and absolutely love it. This song specifically is probably my current favorite. At the end of the song he actually hits big notes, or bigger notes. It's a beautiful thing.

Honorable Mention: Joe Pass, Jeff Buckley, Coldplay
These People Are Tagged: Drew "girth" Williams - Ben C (when he has time) - Christina - Ben Shannon - Jason
