Here's a poem - read please and comment.

m.

I cry that sand must be trapped behind my eyelids,

Scratching my eyes until they bleed tears.

I’ve watched you be happy

For thousands of years

Your smiles so painted,

Your words so rehearsed,

I find no life without you,

Our world plagued and cursed.

You wish to be happy,

But your selfish dreams destroy.

Your friends sit by watching,

Your discarded toys.

So we carried you upward,

Now you watch us fall

There’s no seat saved for you,

To spent pawns you will crawl.

Forgiveness you seek.

No pain we’ll bestow

Could ever mirror that

Which to us you had thrown.

Life to you is a sandbox,

We all build castles with which to play.

But you stomp them all to ruin,

No apologies, walk away.

We carried you so you might help us,

No favors you return, so friends change to foe.

We won’t ruin you because we cannot act.

Your ruinous heart left us alone.

We promise that we will return favors,

So that we will do - leave you with the years

That you threw sand behind our eyelids

Scratching our eyes until they bled tears.
