Slightly belated, but here it is finally!

10 goals from 2013 ( cf. original list: LJ | DW )

1. Body: Do a longer low-carb/grain-and-sugar-elimination experiment. Done. Though I'm not sure I learned anything conclusive from it.

2. Home: Reduce my wardrobe to 400 pieces. Partial. From a starting point of 715 ( LJ | DW ), I eventually managed to get down to about 475. I'm not sure 400 is realistic in a place with, you know, seasons. But now that I'm facing moving *again*, I am thinking that this is a good time to dig deeper and make another push. In particular, I get inspired by blogs like Minimalist Mom to think that, no, really, I won't miss those last 75 items if I shed them. And, as etrace is fond of reminding me, in Indiana we have laundry! right in the house! No need for 35 pairs of underwear!

3. Freelance: Complete, print, and get paid for the book production project I've been working on since winter of 2009-10. Done! They are now on the third printing and we're even entering it in the Bookbuilders of Boston New England Book Show.

4. Family: Take a 10-day vacation with my mom to Hawaii to celebrate her 70th birthday. Done!

5. Work: Launch the completely new website for Ramaz. HAHAHA no. But it's coming in February, I swear.

6. Writing: Flesh out my professional blog. Done. (See also eschultz72.) Granted, most of it was reposts from LiveJournal over the years, but it's something. I am looking forward to playing more with this in the post-move settle-down period.

7. Home: Renew our lease that expires Aug. 31 (or, conversely, find a new place and move, since that's going to be huge if we decide on it). Yes, well, that happened, and not in any way I could possibly have imagined.

8. Performance: Re-audition for the Blue Hill Troupe's Frontstage arm, OR audition for Light Opera of New York or the JPPC.Yes, I did re-audition for BHT, and they -- as sweetly as they could manage while still conveying loud and clear that I was underqualified -- turned me down. Which pissed me off at first, and then pissed off several of my other Troupe friends once I had basically gotten over it... but hey, now I'm leaving town anyway, so, their loss. My friend Mike said I should really milk it for maximum effect: "Gee, you guys, I'm so demoralized by your rejection, I just can't stick it out in NYC anymore..." I had originally thought it would be more awesome if I could spring it on everyone as "fine, I've had it with you, this is my last year in the Troupe!" but of course the engagement and moving announcement in the meantime kind of gives the lie to that. :-D

9. Writing: Complete a draft of a novel. HAHAHA no.

10. Financial: Get net worth (liquid assets and retirement savings) up to $130k. Done. And then some. Though seriously, most of that is frozen in retirement savings. And in 2014, between paying for (even a very modest) wedding and six-week roadtrip honeymoon, a likely three-month break from work, moving expenses that may include buying a car, and (God willing) any other possible family-related expenditures to come... we'll be very lucky if I can keep from depleting my cash savings this year.

10+ additional achievements of 2013:

1. Make room in my life for forward motion by ending my relationship with justom. This was a sadness, but overall a positive thing, so I'm counting it as an achievement.
2. Travel with the BHT to Newport, RI, to work on their Out-Of-Town Show reprise performance of Mikado.
3. Attend my 20th college reunion.
4. Join (as a direct result of #3) a real working rock band in NYC and perform 4 gigs with them (plus one more in 2014).
5. Move to Brooklyn, becoming roomies with alanscottevil and neighbors with taylweaver.
6. Reconnect (as a direct result of #5) with etrace via our first email exchange since 2008, not having seen each other since 1997 or spoken since 1998.
7. Visit my dad (and assorted other friends) in Indiana for the first time since 2009.
8. Fall madly (back) in love (as a direct result of #7).
9. Get engaged (technically a direct result of #8).
10. I dunno... totally change my vision for the rest of my life? I feel like this should count for at least a dozen possible line items.

15 goals for 2014:

1. Marry etrace. :-D :-D :-D
2. Launch the new Ramaz website.
3. Star in the T&V Purimshpiel. (They're casting me as Esther! First rehearsal is tomorrow afternoon!)
4. Produce one more program for the Blue Hill Troupe.
5. Pack and move back to Indiana. Fifteen miles from where I started.
6. Get involved with the synagogue community there, and maybe some other performing groups and stuff.
7. Plan and carry out one more wedding reception in IN (May), and some kind of family celebration in CA (June).
8. Take our EPIC ROADTRIP HONEYMOON, driving cross-country from IN to CA (northern route out, southern route back).
9. Find a job in IN... and/or start collaborating formally with etrace on the consulting/website side of his tech business.
10. Get pregnant. There, it's in writing, kaynahora. Please send us your good wishes for this to happen (and resolve) successfully.
11. Start doing music stuff with etrace, in his current band and/or a new one together.
12. Take up yoga.
13. Have regular movie dates.
14. Buy a car (I suspect this is going to be unavoidable).
15. Spend a whole lot of time wallowing quietly in our wedded bliss.

Wishing all of us a year of physical health, emotional growth, and spiritual abundance.
