  • I started my volunteer job at the library this morning. I'll be going in on Wednesdays for book pricing and shelving and on Monday afternoons for a shift behind the desk at the library's used book store. I keep thinking about doing a knitting blog. But, in the end, I'm always too lazy and never quite have enough to say.

Cool on the library. I do something somewhat like that for our local thrift shop. It benefits the schools, so I'm supposed to get a couple hours a year in. I usually come closer to 2 hours a month. Not a lot- and it will be even less when divided between two kids. Still- I keep telling myself I'll have more time when they are both in school.

I wasn't huge on E,S&L. The cover I loved, but flipping through the inside didn't reach that level for me. Was it good enough for me to give it a second chance?

Oh- I started a top for me- it's actually lavender baby yarn- cotton, and I have hopes it will be cute. I cannot wait to lose enough weight to be able to make smaller clothes.

I've been quite the prolific knitter in the last couple months, but I'm not the most web savvy person.

I don't think you have to read it again. We both found it to be an amusing read.

Are you doing the top from a pattern or winging it? I have yet to make anything for myself. Everything has been for the cat, the bean, or charity.
