Charleston?

Barbara just e-mailed me wanting to know if I'd like to go to Charleston with her in February for some gym conference with Tracie Long. I can't believe she's actually considering it, but then again, they are offering a $200 voucher toward airfare. There were a lot of lines I underlined. I'm halfway down page 3 now, and I guess I had better stop. The nice thing about the response papers is that she doesn't wish us to have an opening or closing paragraph. Good enough.

I couldn't help but sneak a Miss & Mrs. Bates in. I happen to know she's a major Jane Austen fan. :) There was a reference to gossip being only suitable to old maids and widows, so that reminded me Emma.

I'm currently writing a 3-page response paper. I'm at the bottom of page 2 now, and I have 30 minutes to write another page. I'm out of ideas. I was up the whole night writing the Shakespeare paper, so I'm just completely brain dead.

I'm writing about how scandal is gendered feminine and has a feminizing influence on men.
