So I'm not sure if any of you would benefit from this group because I have a few friends here who knit, and a few friends who are in grad school, but I'm not sure if any of you are in both (though now that I think of it, Liz is! I sent you an invite).
Anywho, I've been having trouble writing this week. And it came to me that if I had some of the motivation to write that I have to knit, I might get more work done. So I decided to put in place some of this motivation.
I started a grad school write-a-long and swap on ravelry. The basics are, you post some goals for the month of February. You sign up by February 15, everyone gets a partner, and if you meet any of your February goals, your partner sends you $10 worth of goodies (including at least one skein of yarn)! It will also serve as a good forum to check in about those goals periodically.
Isn't this a great idea? I'm really excited because already 13 people have joined my group and 4 of them have joined the swap. And I only set it up 4 hours ago!
And if it isn't successful, it doesn't matter cause, I found something else to do to procrastinate instead of writing...
