JUST ASK.
Some people are so afraid of rejection that they won't ask for what they want, even from their own friends.
Other people are just stubborn, or don't want to inconvenience anyone. How do you know if you're being an inconvenience if you're not asking for what you need/want?
What's the worst that could happen? The answer might be 'no,' but it doesn't mean we're not still friends.
I try to be a good to my friends, I try to help them when I can and be with them during the good and the bad. I know to a stranger or someone who doesn't know me well, I can come off stand-offish or confrontational in situations that require more control, but I would hope that a friend would know me better.
I don't respond well to indecisiveness or someone trying too hard to be polite, so it's just hard when people can't tell me what they want. I'm too direct to play games and to read people's minds.

Why are all the wrong guys so nice?
Current mood: frustrated
Category: Romance and Relationships
I knew it was just a matter of time before this started happening. THIS is the reason I don't like to give out my number. I met this guy like a month ago, and we haven't spoken more than 3 or 4 times. I figured after awhile we were mutually disinterested, but then he IM'd me from a sn I didn't recognize today. I signed off, and then he called me. Damn, Leave me alone! We have nothing in common and not enough to talk about, but he insists on calling. He has no substance, doesn't have a real job, doesn't even work full time, and his excuse? So he can golf. What does he talk about? Golf. I can't relate to golf. Soccer, yes. Golf? No. I don't like having to tell people I'm not interested when they haven't done anything to deserve it and they don't take the hint. He's a nice guy, but we just don't have enough in common.
It would be just my karma if he turns into a multimillionaire pro-golfer, but I'm willing to cut my losses. I sent him a text message telling saying we just don't have enough in common, and he wrote back saying "Thanks for letting me know. That's very considerate of you." Why did he have to be so nice about it?!
So why is it just my luck that the ones that I am interested in, are the wrong kind? Maybe my list of expectations is too long, but I don't want to get into another relationship like the one I just got out of.
