(no subject)
Hokay. I wanted to write an in depth prediction entry about my oscar picks.
but i don't have the energy or time to go crazy in depth :[
so instead i'm just gonna write who i think is going to win and then who i think should win.
anywayz, here they are!
Best Actor:
I think Philip Seymour Hoffman is going to be the Academy's pick this year.
he just so happens to be who i think should win :]
Best Actress:
Hm. Tough. I have a feeling they are going to go with Reese Witherspoon this year. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.
I would however love to see the years favorite, Felicity Huffman win.
Best Supporting Actor:
Although I didn't get a chance to see Syriana yet, I think the Academy is going to go with George Clooney. Since he has no chance of winning in the other two categories he's nominated for. I would love to see Matt Dillon win for Crash, but its not likely to happen at all.
Best Supporting Actress:
For some reason, this always ends up being my favorite oscar category. The performances are ALWAYS ALL incredible. My pick for this one is Rachel Weisz. For both who should win and who i think will win. Hands down, her performance was amazing.
Best Director:
Ang Lee is going to win. He deserves it, the movie was beautifully shot and blah blah.
If it were up to me....Paul Haggis would get the little guy.
Best Documentary Feature:
The Academy is going to go with March of the Penguins. :/ We all know it.
I would love to see them go with Murderball though.
and finally
BEST PICTURE:
CRASH! Crash should win best picture. Everything about that movie struck me. BUT notice how I said should.
Because it's not going to happen in my opinion. Brokeback Mountain will win. Which is good for the straight people of the world.......I guess. I REALLY don't want to see that movie win, but it looks like a definite that it will. :[
and that's my opinion.
