Do you wanna come stay in my room for a little while? I've got a blanket and we can play with bubbles, okay?

[ At the door with the blanket held out. :3 ]

[ And here's Dawn! It really helps to be with another person right now, especially if they can distract her from what's outside. ]

[ And as she walks through the door, Demyx wraps the blanket around her head and picks her up, dumping her over on his bed. And just as she unwinds herself, there's a silver little bubble floating right in front of her. ]

[ You know, it's probably not a good idea to suddenly blind and carry someone who's already on edge, especially with no warning. Dawn panics, a scream ready to bubble and burst forth, when she throws the blanked off of her-- ]

[ --and stops, entranced by the delicate bubble floating in front of her. ]

It's so pretty... [ She's speaking softly as she admires it, afraid that she'll burst the bubble if she speaks any louder, not wanting to pop it just yet. ]

[ Well, despite the panic, Demyx successfully distracts here. Really, he should've predicted that, but Dawn's predictability towards shiny was something he had made! Score one. He chuckles and blows it forward a little and the thing seems to just stick to her cheek without popping. ]

I can control water. That's why I made that announcement earlier.

[ She laughs as the bubble tickles her cheek, although she's surprised to see that it doesn't pop at the contact. And seeing how it hasn't popped yet, she decides to be a bit more bold and reaches out gently to touch it. ]

I remember - you told me that before too! But I haven't had the chance to see you use it until now.

[ Dawn smiles, already impressed by this display; she's rather easily impressed, but she's never come across a person who could do something like this - at least not a person. ]

... /ships like burning.

[ And the bubble would cling to her fingertips, sticking on for as long as she'd like it to until relinquished, floating into the air once again. Demyx looks at it almost admiringly himself, though his gaze seems to go through the transparency and more to-- ]

Ohh, right. Well, I wanna try and help people with my abilities. So this is as good a chance as any, I guess.

[ Dawn continues admire the shimmering sphere between them, not realizing that Demyx isn't quite looking at the bubble. But then with Demyx's words, she seems unhappy as she realizes something. ]

I also want to help people as many people as I can, but... It looks like that I'm the one needing help all the time.

wahhhh, totally.

Hey, don't be like that.

[ He perks up, sitting on the edge of the bed, pointing a gloved finger to pop the bubble right in her face. It makes a noise and a small gush of wind but otherwise stays harmless. ]

We all need help sometimes. You've helped me, you know.

[ She's startled as the bubble pops suddenly in her face, but even more surprised at Demyx's words; she can't think of anything she could have done. ]

I... I have? How...?

[hydrotechnicks]

Sure. [ He takes his hand over and water stirs in his palm, raising in rounded pillars and climbing on top of each other, almost as if defying gravity just for the hell of it. Spheres break off and hover, and his hand looks like a cold version of an uncontained lava lamp. ]

You help keep me in check. Keep me happy and laughing. It helps more than you know.

[ Yay, the bubbles are back! Dawn finds herself smiling again, but it's not just because of the bubbles. ]

Demyx... Thank you. [ It really does help, knowing that she's useful in some way. ]

Yeah, no problem. Now just look at the shinies, okay?

[ Swiiiiirl swirl swirl. ]
