Ratings: R
Genre: Angst, Drama, Lawsuit!verse, Romance
Pairing: Yunho/Jaejoong, Yoochun/Changmin, BFF!Yunho/Junsu, BFF!Jaejoong/Yoochun
Characters: TVXQ, JUNO (Kim Junho)
Warnings: Crude language
Disclaimers: (1) I do not own the boys, SM.E or anything from them, except for copies of their album. (2) This is merely a work of fiction. There might be some references to what happened, but using 'conspiracy theory' to twist things about. I know the lawsuit is something sensitive, and I am definitely not saying that this fiction is a work of analysis; it is, ultimately, a work of a fan with a mind that thinks a little, too much.
Summary: In an attempt to please their mentor and satisfy their ambitions, Dong Bang Shin Ki took on a route that is filled with misunderstandings, unanswered questions and uncertainties. Then as lies become seemingly true and the truth slowly turns to lies, the boys are trapped in a spidery mess that had them question about love, friendship, brotherhood; about their passion, dreams and promises. And before they knew it, they already split when they weren't; question is, what 'side' are they on?
A/N: This plot is woven into my head when I was reading about various rumours, news articles and readers' comments on the lawsuit, TV2XQ, JYJ and DB5K and I tried to play around with the possibilities of 'what if's.

>> A/N: In regards to the lawsuit and its correlation with WWNOA

Prologue

Yunho scanned the room, watching the expressions on his members in response to Lee Soo Man's words; the way Jaejoong opened his mouth in shocked while Yoochun gave an awkward laughter, a sign of his disbelief; how Changmin, the ever stiff maknae spot a frown as his eyebrows twitched; and when Junsu whispered beside him, calling him and tugging at his sleeve for a response, did Yunho realise that Lee Soo Man isn't joking, and this wasn't some nightmare.

Before he could even say anything however, Jaejoong beat him to it. "I won't- this is, this is absurd," he whispered the last word, biting his lower lip as though he feared his mentor's reaction. The leader wound a hand over his cold, pale ones and squeezed, lending his own support. He still couldn't believe what he just heard, least not from Lee Soo Man himself.

"Take your time and consider," the old man replied, a complex expression on his face, and though it should be more of a plea it somehow sounded like a command. It wasn't a request, Yunho realised as he swallowed, and his mind had half left the conversation, "Is two weeks enough of a time?"

Silence greeted their mentor, and Yunho could almost feel the temperature of the room dropping ten degrees lower. He shuddered involuntarily, his hand gripping onto Jaejoong's one harder. "We'd...take out leave now. We still have our album to prepare for," Yunho finally said, breaking the thin ice forming in the room. Lee Soo Man nodded, and Yunho immediately got his members out of the room stiffly, the sound of heavy feet shuffling evident on the carpeted floor.

The rest of the day was a mess. Jaejoong couldn't keep up his pace in the dance practice, Changmin's scream came out as a choked sound, Junsu messed up his lines for his solo, Yoochun looked half-dead as he started having symptoms of flu that was non-existent prior that morning. Their manager just cut their schedules stating that they're too tired from their Japanese tour, ushering them out of the record studio and back to their dorm, giving them their 'hard earned' break they almost never had the luxury of.

And Yunho spent the day in a blur, his mind foggy with the words that kept replaying like a broken record in his head.

"I want...Dong Bang Shin Ki to split."

A/N: Playing around with this new idea. Been a while since I last wrote fiction. Please comment and let me know what you think?
