I finished this week of school and have a ton of homework. Luckily Sera has some of the same assignments so maybe we can study together this weekend. She set me up an audition with her friends band and I ended up getting accepted. We have practice tonight and Sunday and Jake said it was cool if Sera wanted to hang out at the garage with everyone. I'm going to ask and see if she wants to come with me.
Dad has been really busy at the base. Lots of new recruits have been reporting in. He's not saying much, but he has his stressed face on. Basically it means I'm lucky to see him at dinner and if he's around at all this weekend I'll be shocked.
I guess it's not so bad here, really. Sera has been really sweet and I want to ask her out on Saturday but I'm wondering if it's to quick to ask her for a real date. Maybe I should just go for it. The worst that could happen is she says she just wants to be friends. Man, please don't let her give me the friends speech. That sucks more than any other kind of let down.
