i've never been happier and sadder at the same time. i can't believe i'm not home right now.
i was trying to explain to everyone how serious red sox nation is. how its so embedded in the hearts and souls of bostonians this distant, inconceivable dream of winning the world series again....i bet some really old bostonians go to sleep tonight and never wake up.
my mom's 55 year old man was sitting in awe, staring at the tv, with tears in his eyes.
and get this:
1918 was the last time we won the world series, during that season the team had 86 wins. 1986 was the last time we were in the world series. 86 years after winning in 1918 we win again...the year a lot of us are 18, having been born in 1986.
and what are the chances of a lunar eclipse? it's like the curse passed over us...seriously. and game 7 ended EXACTLY at midnight.
i dont really believe in the curse but either way it's been FREAKIN MAGICAL.
and i hear public school is cancelled!!?!??!!!!!! fuck.
and a parade on fri!
