Boracay 2010

Feb 18, 2010 11:08

It's almost been a week since Bora. Got back last Sunday.

I had tons of fun! Despite the sucky accommodations...I was really happy to have spent the weekend with Thoms, Fenina, Triccie, Jive, Miki and Marc. :)

Congratulations to Kate and Will! Best wishes and hope the baby comes out well and healthy! :)

Bora day 1: Woke up early to do last minute packing. I think I woke up at around 7am. Ate heavy breakfast, and then headed to Greenhills to pick up Thoms. Arrived at the airport at around 10:30am. Our flight was set to depart at 11:30am, but got a little bit delayed. The plane we got was tiny! I think it was the non-pressurized one. It was rough and a bit noisy, but at least take-off and landing was pretty smooth. :) Got to the resort at around 2pm. Settled in, and then had to go by the beach front for rehearsals. Thoms and Fen hung out by the gazebo of White House, while waiting for me.

After rehearsals, we 3 just ended up hanging in the gazebo. Beers were only 3 for P100 eh. Hehe. Then Thoms called up Miki. While he was talking to her on the phone, I heard a funny echo of Miki's voice, and to our surprise...she was right behind us lang pala! HAHA. So Miki and Marc joined us for some beers, and we all headed back to our rooms to get ready for day 1's night out.

Thoms and I attended the despedida del soltera (sp?) first. Then we left a little bit after dinner to go to station 2 to buy chips and water. Met up with Fen and Triccie in...Starbucks! I'm sorry guys, I know it's a total cop-out, but that was the only nearest coffee place we could find. :| Real Coffee Cafe was already closed eh. :( Hung out till around 12mn, and decided not to go drinking nalang.

day 2: Woke up and had breakfast (which came really late :|). Dress up, and walked with Thoms to D'Mall to buy pasalubong for our families. Met up with Fen and Triccie in Real Coffee. :) Finally had their ever-so-yummy Calamansi Muffins and Brownies! :) Also had an iced mocha to go with it. :) Fen and Triccie got the muffins too, while Thoms ordered their egg salad sandwich with cheese. :) I took a bite, and it was really good! Then Kate called me around 12:30 and said that it was almost my turn for hair and make up. So I rushed back to the room, took a shower and headed to Discovery Shores. Jive had her rollers on already, and was just waiting for it to set. When the make-up artist and hair stylist was ready, I sat down and had myself done.

Can I just say that the Victor Ortega team was sooo galing with my make-up and hair! I think I will get them when the time comes for me to get married (which is pretty far pa HAHA). The gay guy (I forgot his name, I'm sorry :() make-up artist really took the tone of my skin into consideration. Like, he really tested all the shades on my skin before he could decide which was best for me. Then he also groomed my brows and asked for my opinion on which blush and lipstick shade I wanted pa! Galing! I love make-up artists who aren't self-centered and who ask their clients what they want. :) I picked a pinkish bronzer and a light pink nude lipstick. :) Then the hair stylist was so nice and gentle on my hair. He was really careful not to tug it, and asked what kind of hairstyle I wanted. :) I decided on a loose ponytail which came out gorgeous! :) I swear, the Victor Ortega team rocks! Hehe.

Then the wedding started. It was pretty hot since it was a sunset wedding, but all went smoothly naman. :) Program was cool too, but brief. The wedding ended at around 9pm. The girls, Thoms and I went to the photobooth, took some pictures and headed back to our rooms to freshen up for our last night out.

We all met up by the shore, and decided to go to a place where it wasn't noisy, para chill night lang. :) While we were scouting around for a place, we noticed that Jonah's Shakes is open 24 hours. So we all ended up there. The night was cool and pretty quiet from where we were, which was just perfect. :) Thoms had a beer, while us girls had our shakes. Got Mango Rhum, which was nice and smooth. I barely tasted the rhum but got a little bit buzzed. Hehe.

After a good night out with the girls and Thoms...the most awful thing happened in the hotel. Lousy service I tell you. Grrr.

day 3: Woke up pretty late. Didn't get my breakfast. Lousy service. And got kicked out of the hotel. :| Boo them! But yeah, at least the hotel next to where I was staying and where Fen and Triccie were staying (Sea Wind) were kind enough to let me leave my stuff in the concierge. Hung out in Fen and Triccie's room until they were all packed and ready to go. Then we all went to Aria and had our last lunch there.

After lunch, Thoms and I got our stuff and went ahead to the airport. Fen and Triccie followed a little bit after. Our flight got delayed again, but at least we got the pressurized cabin plane. :) Arrived Manila at around 6pm.

That's all. :)
