Back in NZ. Kind of sucks to be back, great to see people but my heart belongs somewhere else.
Just before catching the plane home I visited Harajuku, purchased more stuff that I don't need. The stores around Harajuku are rather amazing. It was raining so not much action on the bridge. I did manage to meet a few people and give away a few more N.U.T.E CDs.
Was a quiet day on the bridge, what with it raining in all. More people taking pictures than people to take pictures of!
As I came out of the station I saw a procession of vehicles pass by. There were maybe 7 smaller vans all black with the flag and gold logo, the bus was at the back. This is the extreme right-wing/nationlist organization. Most of the vehicles have speakers which were playing music and a kind of chant. Most people were ignoring them.
These girls were cool. Sort of had a conversation with them. During this trip I was surprised by the lack of English spoken by younger people. Hard to know if it is a lack of English knowledge or a case of been too shy to speak it incase a mistake is made. They really appreciated being given a N.U.T.E. CD. From the conversation I gathered that it was music that they would at least not totally hate.
She was really cool. Just hanging out by herself. She is a Kozi fan and knew of Eve of Destiny which is rather rare. Maybe now a N.U.T.E fan too.
After leaving Harajuku I actually had to rush to make it to the plane in time. I popped back to the hotel to collect my bags and made the mistake of asking the receptionist to mail a postcard. Mailing a postcard can be a very complicated procedure, even if you know how much the postage is and have the corrrect change. It took something like 15 minutes to get the stamp, Ii got so flustered that I then forgot to put the damn thing in a post box.
Took around 200 photos on the trip home, 3 of them sort of turned out O.K. This one was taken in the dead of night, the nearly full moon providing all the light. It was a hand-held 10 second exposure, the only thing visible in the view finder was a dot from the white indicator light on the wing tip. I'm really getting into this photo taking stuff, so much to learn!
This is just as the sun came up about 3 hours out of Auckland.
Here you can just see the very tip of the North Island. Didn't see any spirits leaping off maybe they only do that at night.
