Bad news, good news, and theatrical news...

Bad News: Weather meant zombie_dog's original flight home was canceled (dear, you didn't need to bring the New England weather with you...I like Boston, but just bringing you down to Maryland for this visit was enough).

Good News: We got to spend a couple of extra hours hanging out in the airport drinking beer and martinis (really good pineapple-upside-down one with grenadine, and another one with Grey Goose, OJ and a little cranberry juice) and coke and poking at video games from 20 years ago on his laptop.

Holiday party last night was lots of fun, though I'm expecting a bit of an interrogation tomorrow from my workmates about the imported dashing stranger on my arm...also got some cute pictures in the photo booth (I've realized that I have precious few photos of me and SOs over the years; it makes things easier, sometimes, but it's also nice to have the momentos).

Revels show was lovely as well, and we managed to run into some of zombie_dog's family friends when we went to Safeway looking for mint for mojitos (he still makes the best one of anyone I know).

Walked up to a diner for brunch this morning. Service was incredibly slow though food was tasty. Walk was pretty with the snow coming down, but obviously also quite chilly (but since we didn't have to scrape off the car, it was easier to brush the ice off later with a couple inches of snow between the car and the ice glaze).

Watched Despicable Me in the afternoon before we left for the airport. Now I just have to find time to sit him down for Happy Feet since he hasn't seen that either.

Very happy zombie_dog came down for the weekend...he asked me what I wanted for Christmas, but at this point anything else I get is gravy. He came down and spent time with me and took me to my holiday party, which means a lot to me for a bunch of different reasons....

He'll be back for Christmas week, though likely with others in tow (which is fine, because I like the others he'll bring). But this weekend was fabulous. Squee!

I needed this, I think.
