I'm a poet and you better know it.

I wrote this over break. Enjoy.

Absinthe is raining, burnishing skin
Papered tongues in melon pulp hold summer's gaze,
Yet winter's thrill is new delight
As you breeze across my extremities and bite my nose tip
Your hands holding glass bubbles, in opal finish
Representing sea and sky of your creations
These to mystify dilated eyes in inebriated darkness
So as to trip on understated rocks scattered by the doorway
When I came to visit, right across the threshold
Breaking upon the ground

Burgundy hair is yours to hold, wine spilled onto ground
Remove from wooden enclosure
Silken and warm to lay upon your heavy shoulder
Ambition is the character to lead through unnatural territory
To garnish your home,
And too dirty are the hands that you hold
Too close to yours, but too far from your heart

And the Dumb sits in corners
Twirl ideas in kaleidoscope dreams to place on canvas
And represent your connection to this dry leaf in a puddle of rainwater
Shivering muscle is vibrating along your ribs
As gilded, proving a resistance to crack
Your strengthened creation wants nothing
Yet breaking, slacking string from coils along wrist
Wire creates pressure,
This is catch and release
