From what I can glean on Facebook, my maternal grandma died at 92(?)
Uncle Chul Park, via Facebook auto-translate:
"Painting, painting, she couldn't take gap gap and also make alive nongsa.
It's the 92-Year-old with no life will be rewarding. You don't like this year will be.
Now I can make it alone.
This architecture expert son, hurry up, this was not this much. When it's finished to play."
The ancient house my maternal grandma and grandpa lived in was demolished and they are building a new house on the property. There are pictures of a new house being built (cookie cutter modern as you can imagine). In the previous picture, it looked just as it had when I visited at the age of 4 in 1990- I'd watched VHS home videos of the visit again and again. In the far left room we slept in a large netted enclosure to keep out the bugs. I ate fresh farm peaches and excitedly captured a firefly in a jar and found it dead the next day. Nicola sees fireflies around here in Southern Illinois and wants to capture them as well- I guess it's an experience to learn from :I
