Hi, everyone!
It's about time I actually start posting here. Over the last couple of months I keep thinking of things to post, deciding that they are not good first-posts, contemplating what to put in a first-post, and then deciding to do it some other time. I guess this is finally that time.
For those who weren't in the loop earlier this week, Monday was my 30th birthday. My dear husband (who shall remain nameless until I decide how obvious I want my identity to be in public posts) schemed to swamp my email with as many odd birthday greetings as possible. It worked. I went to Disneyland on Monday and returned home to about 20 birthday emails (many of which also included pokes to post here). I think the final total was 23 from a variety of college, grad school, and post-grad school friends. For those of you who participated, thank you, I was very amused by the ways that y'all interpreted his specific bizarre message parameters. I initially thought that I would try to reply to each one individually, but I may give up on that...you may still here from me if I'm sufficiently motivated this weekend.
Today also happens to be the one year anniversary of breaking my ankle. For the first time in months, it is quite cool and rainy here today, so my ankle has been happily aching all day to remind me of its presence. If you hadn't heard and are curious how I broke it, I failed to step off a curb in a truly spectacular fashion.
Ok, that's enough of an introduction. Hopefully, now that I've started posting, I'll get around to writing about some of the other things I've been contemplating lately.
