Morning of Doom and Gloom

Well, this was a shit morning. I got to the station in plenty of time to discover that both the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines were partially suspended. For those who are not completely au fait with the tube, basically the only way for me to get from Preston Road to London Bridge with any kind of directness is, er, by the Metropolitan and Jubilee ( Read more... )

Alas no. Maybe you could just try burning in effigy. It seems to work for some people. And you could toast marshmallows on the blaze...

(((Lissikins))) Sounds a rotton morning. Marshmellows toasted on the effigy fire does sound like it would improve you day though.

Sounds like the normal everyday pantsness of LU which makes me glad I can avoid them mostly now and cycle to work...

If it's any consolation - I got shafted too as the Northern and Jubilee were up the spout as well.
So 1 bus, 1 train, 1 v long walk, 1 tube and 1 DLR later I made it to work, only 1 hour late, but 2 hours after I set off...
Grrrrr. They'd better fix it before it's time to go home!
