I could pray, but instead I suggest washing your hair over and over again with the hottest water you can stand and some shampoo that is not labeled as safe for color treated hair. I have made the same mistake you have, and this approach usually softened the color in a few days. You might need to deep condition afterward though.

Yes, I think a bottle of head and shoulders, that ultimate hair fading shampoo, will be my first purchase on the morrow. I should wash it again tonight but, meh, I'm lazy and in my pyjamas... *g*

As per your background tales, the colour should fade quite fast - you can probably hasten it with lightening rinses eg chamomile tea or diluted lemon juice. Er, unless that makes it worse. *backs away slowly*
