Here's a depressing fact. As of June 2006, the best selling newspapers in this country are The Sun, The News of the World, and the Daily Mail. Yay.

And of course, the numbers of people reading the paper = vastly greater than the number of papers sold. We are doomed...

I had to do research on this for an essay. The News of the World claims over eight million readers. I think The Sun is about seven million and has a reading age of approximately six. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that a lot of the readership don't/won't vote so have disenfranchised themselves. Hmm...
