Guitar Hero Humor
samwibatt has the most amazing ability to be deadpan I've ever seen, and he nearly killed me with laughter on New Year's Eve. We were playing Guitar Hero II (which is where I got so solidly hooked on it), and together we were playing Warrant's hit, "Cherry Pie". This is a fantastic song for rocking out air-guitar style.
For those of you not familiar with Warrant's contribution to the arts, the song includes such lyrical gems as:
She's my cherry pie,
Put a smile on your face
Ten miles wide
...
Swingin' in [the kitchen]
Cause she wanted me to feed her
So I mixed up the batter
And she licked the beater
As we finished the song (having rocked the house with a respectable score), Sam looked down at the floor and quietly said, "I don't think that song was about pie."
