the long weekend

I had a most awesome 6 day weekend.

Day 1- I did nothing, it's hard for me to figure out what to do with myself--I did attend morning zazen and that was great!
Day 2- I procrastinated doing anything until the very last minute, but did everything that I set out to do.
Day 3- Thanksgiving Day--no sleep--morning zazen in which I slept--much driving, a bit of eating, more driving, than socializing at another get together.
Day 4- Did some shopping, used an REI discount to get some things, went to dinner with friends.
Day 5- I did nothing, didn't get out of bed until afternoon, didn't go outside until after dark.
Day 6- Had lunch at friend's house hung out there from noon til 6[,, met awesome new boy who seemed absolutely wonderful as far as first impressions go--the only thing is he lives in Australia--but I have a place to stay should I ever find myself in the land down under, went for a group walk at beach, had some Coldstone Creamery Ice Cream--went home. It was a great day! ! ! Oh and I finally started on that cleaning that I've been talking about for weeks. I did 5 loads of laundry thus far and may have time to do one or two more loads before the 11pm deadline. I vacuumed, I reorganized things with my laziness in mind. Such as, I have a set if built-in drawers in my hallway. I used to put my socks and tank tops in these drawers--they were used daily so, in my haste and laziness I'd leave with the drawers open. Ulitmately this looks very messy, so I decided to put my extra blankets, towels and sheets in those cabinets/drawers--I know how to out smart myself. No pictures just yet but they're acomin'
