I made a recommendation to extend the Delta Flyer's mission by two days. Ion storms aside, this looks like a relatively calm sector and there seem to be plenty of scientific phenomena to observe; it may be some time before we get a chance like this again. The crew of the Flyer agreed with my assessment -- they have provisions for a week.
The only real issue is Ensign Wildman has left her daughter (naomiwildman) behind but neelix assures me Naomi is doing well. This is good news, as Ensign Wildman had approached me some weeks ago about participating in more away missions. It goes without saying away missions are a necessary part of the curia vita and also a factor in promotional schedules.
