I think I've neglected this account long enough. Really. Maybe it should be resurrected? *what are you talking about*
I'm thinking to post more often in this journal, but sometimes this kind of spirit only stayed at the beginning so i'll reaalllly try to update my journal from now on.
Anyway, i want to share my new hobby: Gardening! yay!
I started out with cactus and succulent. I bought a pot for each of them. They are my first cactus and succulent. I thought it will be easy since i just had to water them for about once per one week or more but something not good happened! I also decided to grow a sun flower so i bought two seeds (yes two seeds). I don't know how old my plants are but today is the 16th day since I bought them and a few (or maybe many) things have happened since then. Below are a few pictures of my plant. Pardon the low resolution since my phone camera isn't good.
My first cactus and succulent. The cactus is gymnocalycium and the succulent is echeveria. They looked great on the first day. On the 3rd day one leaf of of echeveria turned yellowish and I started to worry. After a few days, it got brown so I thought I better remove the dying leaf. After that day, there were 3 leaves I had to remove because the color turned yellow :(
I lost the picture of the first day I planted the sunflower seed. They already grew so much in the picture below. One of the seed grow faster than the other one. Oh when I prepared the media I was afraid that I gave too much water to one of them which made me come to the idea to dry it with my hair dryer.
I accidentally broke one of the highest growing sunflower plant :'( that I had to tie it with a wooden stick so that it could stand straight. The day after i moved it to a big pot and buried the broken part below the soil surface. I removed the stick in this pic.
From now on i hope all of them will grow healthily and I can see the sunflower blossom someday. For the desert plant, I hope they can grow well in my place despite the high humidity and the ongoing rainy season.
Love,
chakko
