Hello. My name is Tucker Neel and I am a curatorial intern at the Ben Maltz Gallery, a non-profit exhibition space located on the campus of Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, www.otis.edu/benmaltzgallery. I am organizing an exhibition for this summer, June 20 - August 29, 2007, entitled “Perspectives in the Crowd.” The exhibition features footage recorded by fans at the 2006 Coachella Music Festival Daft Punk performance that I found on youtube.com.
In researching the internet for footage, I came across your footage of the concert and feel it is perfect for this project. I would like to extend an invitation to you to display your video(s) as part of this exhibition. Your video(s) would be projected larger than life on the gallery wall and would be a part of a small collection of other fan videos showing the different perspectives of that specific Daft Punk performance. As an exhibiting artist in the show, your name would be included on the postcard announcement, the exhibition title wall, and in all our press related materials.
We hope you will consider our request, and give us permission to use your video for the duration of the exhibition.
