Finals week will be a breeze

Before I dive into some reading about postmodernism and aesthetics, I thought I'd do a little update, seeing as I haven't been doing that as much. At present, I have this week and another of regular classes before finals week. At present, finals week seems that it will be a breeze . . . because this week and next won't be. Today I had a critique in senior sem. I had tons of work up. I dominated the space of the downstairs studio: series of five (assimilation), series of four (feminist sculptures), three individual sculptures, series of mugs (four), single piece (included three paintings), single piece (installation of six objects), and two other individual works (something like paintings). So that makes 27 objects and 20 pieces (with three series and 7 pieces which stand as single objects). Does that make any sense at all? Maybe not.

Now that that critique is over (it went well btw), I have two tests this week plus misc. assignments. Next week: one paper, three lectures. One on Ann Hamilton, one on Zhang Huan, one on my work and how it relates to other artists. Crazy huh? That leaves a single test in finals week. That test is in Christian Thought. I have a Christian Thought test tomorrow, which means that it will be on material covered in the week-and-a-half in between. Oh, and printmaking is somewhere in there. I really have some work to do there--eek. I need to buy paper. Oh, yeah, and I'm taking an Art Teaching Methods class, so throw in a lesson plan and course outline.

Well, I guess I should really get back to that reading then.
