(no subject)
Good thing Robbie holds down the live journal front or I would probably never check it anymore. I wonder who else still goes to this site as part of their scheduled daily checks (myspace, cnn, etc).
Big-ish news abound(s?) for me. I will move to my new place in Hyde Park at the beginning of September. It's very exciting, like three-closets-big-windows-over-a-produce-shop-and-across-from-a-coffee-shop exciting. It's a one bedroom, but it's shaped like this:
[ ]=[ ] the first set of brackets would be the tiny kitchen/living room area (plus one closet) the equal sign is the bathroom (with one closet across from it in the hallway) and then the next set of brackets is my bedroom (with one closet). The landlord told me the bldg. used to be a hotel which explains the nice hallways and entryway and all the closets in my apt.
So it's no brady's new place (the rent is $625 w/heat included) but I'm very happy about it.
My temp job is still going at DePaul. What's great is today I found out that the slowly dying project I've been working on will still be around for another few weeks AND I get to stay where I've been, but everyone else has to move to the School of Education which will likely be more strict about dress and absences. I feel like the kid first picked in kickball (which is nice because I'm pretty sure that NEVER happened to me).
Lollapalooza is August 4-6th and Zach and I are going to all three days for FREE thanks to some smooth volunteer operating. I've been thinking about it like everyday. Eels, Flaming Lips, Shins, Wilco, Lady Sovereign, Kanye West...it's insane. If you would like to be jealous you can go to the website www.lollapalooza.com and see who else is playing. I guarantee that you will find someone that you don't think is lame...even you Keith Harvey...even you.
