It's been awhile since I updated this damn thing here...Nothing important, just filling the quota.
College started back up on Monday and I was excited to get back into teaching forensics and chemistry. My classes are full this semester and I hope they stay that way, means less time at Dickeys haha, unfortunately I get Fridays off of work so I guess I'll have to commit my time then. Three chemistry classes and two forensics courses this term; both started out great, good class, except for the occasional migraine here and there. First few days started out a bit rocky but I think a few cups of coffee got me back on track. Chemistry, right now, is focusing on memorizing the elements and drawing diagrams of the electrons, protons, and neutrons; simple stuff. Forensics...we're covering the basics for the first two weeks before the first project; taking pictures of the crime scene, which I have to find a few mannequins, make a batch of artificial blood, and set up a room in the lab to look like an official crime scene. It's a lot of work to do, but it's also fun to watch the students take pictures of what they think is relevant to the case. After that then it's collecting evidence, DNA analysis, blood spattering, etc.
Outside of uni work, I've kept to myself most of the time; paying a lot of attention to Evey. She's about to hit the sixth month and I'm considering getting her fixed so I don't have to worry about her being in heat and dealing with that crap. Then I was actually booked yesterday by taking a client on a regular date. She paid for my time and I paid for a trip to Pier 39, then to a movie, and treated her to dinner. We went a saw Sherlock Holmes and to be honest, I was rather impressed with the movie and score; it was better than I thought it would be. But my client enjoyed the day out and she booked me again for all day Monday, luckily there are no classes due to Martin Luther King Jr. She wants to go salsa dancing...why not? I've already had previous requests before, and it'll keep my mind off of things.
Other than that...nothing spectacular besides my nephew visiting me tomorrow. He wants to ride on the motorcycle so it looks like we're going for a drive. Which is great because I love riding it. She purrs just right. Plus I haven't driven her in a while so I'm ready to put her back on the road.
Uh....that's about it. Enjoy the weekend.
