Well I'm back...

... and still in one piece, though I did have my doubts as to whether that would be the case during some parts of my trip. It is my intention to post a detailed account of my trip at some point, in lieu of writing up a scrapbook which is what Bacchus usually does after holidays. However given my past history in trying to write up things that I want to, I probably won't get round to it.

Having only got back at 5pm yesterday, having to do 3 loads of washing when I got in and then have several meetings today, I am very tired and haven't really had much time to catch up with anything on LJ yet, so you may all get some rather late replies to your posts. I am now off home, via the supermarket to stock up on anything I can get my hands on - the cupboards being very bare at the moment thanks to several weekends away from home.

After that I plan (Bacchus willing) to start watching some of the DVDs I rather guiltily bought this lunch time, from the BBC shop near where I work as it was closing down and so had everything 75% off. I got 4 Doctor Who ones:

The Visitation
City of Death
The Leisure Hive
The Caves of the Androzani

I already own The Visitation on video, but the other titles are new to my collection and ones I have wanted to see again for some time. All the titles were reduced to £4.99, which is about the price I like to pay for DVDs, and I would have bought more, but they didn't have a very big selection left and I shouldn't have been spending the money anyway, though I do intend to upgrade all the ones I have on video to DVD at some point. Despite my lack of money, I did also buy series 3 & 4 of Maid Marian and her Merry Men, the kids TV series by Tony Robinson, as again £4.99 seemed too good a price to resist. I may pop in later this week to see if they've knocked the prices down any further (and if that is the case if there is anything else left worth buying).
