Farmer's Market

Jun 06, 2015 18:58

I hadn't been sure about going to the Farmer's Market today, but I decided to go and meet up with Carlie and James. I texted them that I would get there around 7:15.

I booted up google maps, and hopped on the bike I had borrowed from James, and headed up the bike trail. Google Maps crashed at some point and stopped giving me directions, but whatever, I had done this yesterday, I was fine. At 7:15, Carlie asked where I was, so I rebooted Google and it said I was 10. I let her know. Then, a few minutes later, the bike path was closed, and Google maps was saying I was 25 minute away and then telling me to get on the highway.

It turns out that when Google Maps rebooted, it remembered where I was going, but not that I was on a bike. Also, I had made a wrong turn and gone in the wrong direction. The ten minute estimate was by car, not by bike, and got worse and worse as I went the wrong way. By the time I got to the Farmer's Market, they had to go.

That said, the farmer's market was pretty awesome and had some really good cheese. I bought some bandaged cheddar which was pretty amazing.

My lunch today primarily consisted of stuff from the farmer's market, supplemented with some stuff from the grocery store which is immediately next to my hotel. It was really awesome.
