It was obvious when Governor Palin was giving a prepared speech and when she was laughing and being congenial with the people around her. She got some good speech writers for this debate... but she never directly answered a single question.

Senator Biden, on the other hand, answered questions on the fly, had an answer for every question (though not always a particularly direct one), and did a great job of making her look like an idiot. It seemed to me that the only questions he didn't answer directly were questions where his answer would have been unpopular, as opposed to his opponent, who frequently avoided questions because she didn't understand them well.

And then there's the fact that now the REPUBLICANS are on the defensive about the gay marriage issue! That's wonderful!

If the VPs were running against each other directly, it would be obvious whom we should choose.
