One of the complicated things about being me is that I am smarter than I am, and that by following my example, I learn a lot. A lot of the decisions I make are not conscious decisions, and therefore it is only by studying those decisions and analyzing them that I am able to learn about myself, and about interactions with other people ( Read more... )

Peter Watts has written a bit about how our subconscious is smarter than our conscious minds - in fact theorizing that our conscious minds may be simply baggage and, most of the time, a waste of energy.
