I'm participating in blind_go this time around, too, and I'm writing something Ambitious (capital intended) in the same way that this was Ambitious and I almost failed to get it done on time. I'm a little doomed, but hey.

For sure. Your work is unfailing outstanding--from a critical pov rather than the inner squeeing fangirl. You've got an amazing sense of rhythm and poetic justice to your writing that's really hard to capture--that i rarely find at all, but not just because you make the characters hurt, but because it's so easy to see why they hurt and you cannot help but love them for that. And you're doing it again more hikago from you score and i really ought to go back and reread & recomment on all of the other fics of yours that i've read (read: everyone from every fandom that i know) just because the lj-er in me feels awful about that, since they've all been so fantastic. Dude, the ohsotragicness of Between is how I found your ficcage in the first place, and when you broke and shattered Kaoru so badly it was love. Because you're right about explosive--your fics just ooze neverhappyendings, because even if the twins share or don't share or split or stay

God. Hikaru and Kaoru. My heart breaks just remembering. Never again, really. Though I mean, my God, the things I did to them. And my favorite fic I did in the fandom, Now Three is just about as dysfunctional as anything gets.

I promise to try not to break hearts and minds quite THAT badly ever again. Also, again, I say, we should chat on AIM. Seriously.

Y'know, it's actually really interesting that your favorite is Now Three if only because that's, on the surface, one of your happier fics (for the twins at least) even though it, in reality, is actually awful. Can;t settle for each other, have to settle for sharing, even though in the end there is three and one because whatever Haruhi thought she was ready for, thought she understood, she clearly cannot and the boys never exactly understand/understood that and it's truly awful.

(to be honest, i'd assumed that 'between' would have been your pet since that once...all your ouran fics are lovely but that is just so hauntingly desperate that it honestly feels so intensely wrought...)

Breaking characters is, in a way, pretty, though. So very pretty when, as readers, we get to go and look and break along with all the shiny pieces of the characters.
