[Edward is just getting geared up to head over to the smithy when he hears the knock, so he's armor-free when he opens the door to find Sigmund there. His surprise at finding the Liberator there is probably very obvious on his expression.]
...Of course. [He would hardly have expected Capell to be happy about it. The way Sigmund says it bothers him, though he avoids protesting (probably not for the first time). It's clear that Sigmund is still distrustful of how Edward treats Capell.
[They've said they're past it, they haven't been fighting, but Sigmund is having trouble believing it. It's hardly personal to Edward. It's just... Capell.]
[Ever the cautious papa. Edward shifts a bit, not entirely sure how he ought to be feeling about this situation. He and Sigmund haven't exactly been chatty.]
[Edward isn't sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing - he's been wary of letting himself get his hopes up lately - but he still has yet to refuse Sigmund's requests, so he nods, stepping back to retrieve his armor.]
[There's a flash of something across Sigmund's face when Edward reaches for his armor. Amusement? It's hard to tell. The change in expression is brief, gone almost as soon as it appears.]
[...Sob. Useful for his muscles. Edward isn't really bothered though; any chance to help is a good chance, after all. Armor on, he turns back to Sigmund, ready and attentive.]
[More useful for his inches, really. Sigmund's certainly strong enough to carry anything Edward can. If only there wasn't that pesky question of being shorter than the cargo...]
A sword. [Sigmund turns to leave the room, and motions for Edward to follow.]
[Sigmund leads him back to his room, where the Karathos Blade is hanging vertically on the wall by the door. Which might just highlight why he needs it carried, because it is clearly several inches taller than he is. If he had a proper harness for it, this wouldn't be a problem. Alas, he does not have a harness, but he does have an Edward, and an Edward is good too.
Although... now that he's looking at it, he just can't bring himself to say 'I'm too short to carry this across town comfortably.' He'll just... gesture at it and hope Edward gets the idea.]
[...Oh, huh. That's the problem. Edward blinks at it for a moment, then nods, heading over to it and lifting it to slip it into place at his back. ...Feels good, actually. It's an excellent weight, and the balance of the blade is exceptional. He can't really help feeling envious. The quality of it is obviously well above and beyond his own.] Where to, my lord?
[Oh, just a little problem, but carrying it all that way would have been a tall order.
Sigmund glances at his armor before answering, but decides that this is going to be all the weight he can manage for now. He's got a lot of building back up to do. Hopefully Edward hasn't noticed. He does grab Balmung and his shield, though. A sharp nod and his heading towards the door are Edward's signal that they're leaving.]
My lord, is there something you need?
Reply
[No point in beating around the bush. He's already spent a good portion of the morning with Capell, so it's had time to sink in.]

Does Capell know?

I told him first. Be easy on him. He's not talking it well.

...Well, it's not like Ed can blame him.]

Did you have orders today?

I don't have any projects right now.

Then I require your assistance for the day.

Whatever you need, my lord- I'll do my best.

I need you to carry something.

What is it?

A sword. [Sigmund turns to leave the room, and motions for Edward to follow.]

Suddenly stricken by the very idea of it, Edward hastily moves to follow, keeping up with Sigmund's pace. Just what was going on?]
