Writer's Block: Instant wish

Jun 08, 2010 10:25

Instant wish in the next five minutes? That I get a call back from the school that interviewed me last week offering me the full time ESL position in Kansas City!

It has probably been awhile since I last updated. We moved out of our first apartment together! We are now staying in a townhouse that my husband owns outside of Mexico City. It is good because we can save money on rent but it is bad because it is a really long commute for him. An hour and a half. He left at 6:30 this morning and I dont expect him back until 9 tonight :(
Apart from saving money, we are making this little sacrifice so that we can fix up the house in order to sell. It has actually never been lived in. It's new. He has owned it since it was built and it has been maybe 5 years. It has nothing in it. No floor, no appliances, no closets, no kitchen counters nor cupboards. We need to make an investment in it so we can sell it. And I at least dont feel comfortable leaving it in the state it`s in. The spiders and snails have moved in so we are kicking them out.

Dear Noori,

It has been awhile since I have written you. And I regret that because there is so much cuteness I need to record! But you just woke up so forget about that! Maybe just a little update... the newest thing is climbing. You have started climbing up the couch and climbing down off of the bed... you cant climb down by yourself because the bed is too high, but you try and I help. We've put the mattress on the floor now, because I am afraid you'll try to climb down when I'm not looking.
You have also learned no, but I feel like it is innate because I never said it and then when I did you seemed to know what I meant. And now when I say no you shake your head no. I want to say yes more often, but with the move tons of things are out where they shouldn`t be.
One fun game we are playing a lot is you throw things off the bed and I pick them up and give them to you and you through them off again. Sometimes we crack up laughing when we throw things off the bed,
Last cute thing and then I have to go.. you like to "pounce"! It is so darn cute. When you are in a playful mood, which is almost all the time.. you are on the bed on all fours and you get up on your knees with your hands out and pounce! It's so adorable I could just kiss you... okay, I just did!

love, mom
