My Iraq address

Oct 21, 2008 22:54

Copied from facebook/myspace. I've completely forgotten about this place but I know some people who are still on this instead of the other 2 and I'd like to keep in touch with everyone I can so I'll restart this as well.

My address out there is:

Cpl Wong, Peter
MWSS-373, SecFor/Advon HQ S-3
UIC 41116
FPO AP 96426-1116

We got this information from our FRO (Family Readiness Officer) about free boxes from the US Postal service. Her phone number is at the bottom if you want to call her and ask her anything about me or my unit's deployment. She can give you almost any information you ask for. She will probably know when we are coming back before I do. Speaking on that, we are expected to come back in April but it's too early to really know. For those of you that don't know, I'll be doing pretty much the same job as last time (ie, nothing) over there. Probably sitting in a bunker all day staring at a screen and listening to radios. I should be able to get online and use a phone, though phones are harder to get to. I'll place updates here as often as I can.

"The USPS offers FREE boxes, customs forms and packing materials to family
and friends of military members who are deployed overseas (APO or FPO
addresses). This means anyone who wants to send you a package can receive
all of these materials at NO cost. To take advantage of this service call: 800-610-8734 then press 1 for English and then press 3 to talk to an operator. Once you have the operator on the line, simply ask for the "Military Pack".

The "Military Pack" includes the following items:

5 each - box, 12x12x8

5 each - box, 7x7x6

1 each - roll of Priority Tape

10 each - 106A address label

15 each - Form 2976A - Customs Form

15 each - Form 2976E - Envelope for Customs Form

5 each - Tyvek envelope (tear and water proof)
