Summary: Kim Jaejoong, the school's nerdy nobody falls in love with Jung Yunho, the campus' hearthrob, star player and a certified playboy. Will Jaejoong's love be returned or it will stay as an albeit unrequited love?
Prologue
Chapter 1
Kim Jaejoong knew Jung Yunho since they were in elementary days. They've just been in the same class twice but that didn't stop Jaejoong to be attracted to Yunho. But Jaejoong won't put any hope that Yunho would like him back for mainly two reasons.
First was because of their status. Yunho is one of the most popular in school. He is also the star player for basketball and not to mention that he's also rich, super rich. While him, he's just a the commoner-slash-nerdy-slash-nobody at school. Second reason, Yunho's the school playboy and a major flirt. He'll change his girlfriend or boyfriend almost every month.
Though Yunho and Jaejoong have almost the same circle of friends, they are still awkward to each other everytime they'll be together. Jaejoong's reason for it is because of a certain embarassing moment happened during their 5th year in elementary. It was a bet/dare made by a senior that made a huge gap to Jaejoong and Yunho's relationship as friends.
They are now in their last year of high school and believe or not Jaejoong and Yunho was put in the same class again after four years.
And just like any other lunch break Jaejoong is in his own world again while eating his home-packed lunch. He just got out of his trance when Shim Changmin, one of his best friends, snapped a finger in front of him.
"Hyung, if you are just going to pick on your food just give it to me. They're holy hyung, HOLY!" Changmin, or should we call him the food monster, is the youngest out of the three of them. Changmin is two years younger but because he's annoyingly smart he skipped a couple of grades.
"I'm eating them, Minnie. But since I know you, you're still hungry. So here you food monster" Jaejoong push his lunch box to Changmin.
"I love you, hyung!! Thanks!" and for the next minute Changmin gobble eat up everything in the lunch box.
Jaejoong goes back into looking at Yunho flirt with his new flavor of the month. Thinking again what it would be like to be in that girl's place.
"You know what, Jae? I won't get surprised if I saw Yunho melted in his spot in the next minute with your stares." Junsu teased.
Kim Junsu is his other best friend, he's well off just like the rest of the students and also popular. He is known as Park Yoochun's other half, Yunho's best pal.
"Ha-ha. Very funny, Su" Jaejoong said sarcastically and move his gaze to Su then roll his eyes on him. Then the bell rang indicating that lunch time is almost ready.
"Oi, Min, are you done? Come on, I still need to finish those physics problems and I need your help." Junsu said as he forcefully move Jae's lunchbox away from Changmin and tuck it to Jae's bag.
Then they walk back to their classroom.But with Jaejoong stealing a last glance at Yunho, just as he was turning his head he saw Yun place a kiss on the girl's lips. Jaejoong felt that little pinch at his heart again. Like someone was poking his heart with little needles.

Time flies surely fast for Jaejoong who did nothing the entire three hours but listen to his teachers, take down notes and stare out the window and sometimes catch a glimpse of Yunho who sits two rows behind him.
Now it is time for their weekly homeroom period where they discuss anything about their class or sometimes (more likely everytime) they just sit around and make noises.
Jaejoong didn't understand anything the class president is saying but he catches something like for the school's annual foundation day and they are gonna do a play. He wouldn't care less because of course he's going to be assigned to the art department again since he's known to be the artist in the class.
"Ooh~ Jae this is going to be exciting!" Junsu wait for a reply but nothing "Hey Jae! Hellooo~~!" Junsy nudges Jaejoong to get his attention.
"Huh? What is it, Su?" Jaejoong was busy staring somewhere or rather someone.
"Ugh, Jae, are you even listening to me?" Junsu said irritated knowing what is disturbing his best friend's mind "Know what, Jae? Why don't you just, I don't know, try to be friends with him again. Both of you are friend with us, right? Min and I can work something out. And on top of that, you guys were close before when we were still in elementary. You are the reason why he blend in easily before. I can't really get it why you guys suddenly become like this."
Jaejoong would act like this, distracted and silent, every after Yunho changes his girlfriend or boyfriend.
"Su" Jaw sighed, he don't understand why Su always tell him this kind of things almost everyday. "Are we going to have this conversation again? You already know the reason why. So stop it, okay?"
"Because of that stupid bet/dare Heechul sunbae made? But just because of that? Yunho isn't like that. Do you wan--"
"Just stop Su. I don't wanna talk about it" Jaejoong doesn't want to remember that embarasing moment anymore. Junsu didn't have the chance to continue what he's about to say so he just change the subject.
"Oh look, Jae. We are going to perform Snow White. What are we kids?" Junsu was greeted by a kiss from his boyfriend. "Chunnie what are you doing here?"
"We're dismissed already. And because I miss you sooo much, Suie" Chun said as he pull Junsu to his lap and nuzzle his face to Junsu's neck. "Stop being greasy, Jae can hear you" then Junsu laugh his trademark laugh.
Sometimes Jaejoong envy Junsu not because he is rich and popular and all but because he is happy and the one he loves also love him back.
"Jaejae, you are the head for the art department again this year, and what?? Min's the director? Why? I wanna be the director too!" Junsu pointed out.
"I'm not surprised with that. Min can handle it he's not called genius for nothing. And please keep your room activities in the room. Thank you very much." Jaejoong said nonchantly as he saw the couple at it again with their PDA's. and if you are wondering, Yoosu is famous for being vocal and showy for their love towards each other even inside the classroom.
After the bell rings, signaling that the classes are already dismissed, the students scramble immediately out the classrooms, including three certain students.
"Jaejae, see you later at the cafe" Junsu said. He and Changmin get in their respective cars in front of the school and Jaejoong was waiting for the bus to arrive. And on his left most side stood Yunho too, waiting for the same bus as his.
He didn't know why someone as rich as Yunho would take the bus from school if he can just call their driver to pick him up. And he doesn't know if it's just coincidence or what but they would always take the same bus, Jaejoong would go to the cafe owned by his mom to help, while Yunho to go home. Well, except if Yunho have his basketball training.Even though they ride the same bus they still wouldn't talk and if situation permits they sit far away from each other.
After 20 minutes Jaejoong arrived at the cafe, he looked at Yunho, who is staring out the window, one last time before he got off the bus. A second after he got off, Yunho looked at Jaejoong he didn't looked away until he got inside the cafe and was greeted by his mother. Then the bus takes off again.
Yunho then got off the next station, calls up his driver and after a couples of minutes it arrives and they drove of the opposite direction to go home. Yes, Yunho lives on the other side of the town. so go figure it why.
