Actually I should say "HO HO HO" huh... oh well
So Merry Christmas! I actually sent out christmas cards this year to a few select people, just like family and some close friends, but usually every year I mean to but forget. So I deserve a pat on the back.
This has been a very busy and expensive holiday season, not only is it Christmas (though I'm not buying presents for anyone except Marshall and Isaac, plus I sent my sister something and for my mom I bought a book) but both me and Marshall have been driving unregistered and uninsured cars. Marshall has already gotten a ticket for it, and we had to deal with the oldsmobile (which I've been driving since my truck was stolen) that hasn't been transfered to his name.
AND we have to come up with all the money to move. We ended up getting a good deal on this apartment, it's only $750 with pet rent, and I had planned on spending about $850. The apartment is older, and it doesn't have a washer and dryer, which is a big bummer... and no fireplace, which I really wanted. But it's got all new appliances, new carpets, new kitchen cabinets, and it's nice and big. And it's got a porch. The one I wanted was $200 more a month... it said 2 bedrooms were $850 but those ones didn't have porches... but for $950 a month this place was SO nice. We signed a 6 month lease at the cheaper place, but I'm hoping once our lease is up we can think about moving into the other place.
So today I've been running around... since I have the weekend off but no place is open over the weekend, so I had to cram everything in today. We put the money down for the apartment, and got both cars registered and insured (YAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!! I'M LEGAL!!!!) but still have to get the olds smogged.
But it's been an expensive day. And I'm not done christmas shopping.
