Junjin x Hyesung | mild fluff | non- AU | humor | drabble | G
Summary: Junjin was only trying to be helpful.
Junjin likes to be helpful.
Even though it might not be the type of helpfulness one would find useful, he liked to show it. Unconscious or whatnot, it wasn’t a false statement when he said ‘here, let me help you’ to an elderly couple attempting to cross the street. They denied his request ruthlessly, however eventually- or relentlessly, the couple gave in to his offer and made it across the street successfully.
Junjin found it delightful- although some would just say, he was building up his ego when he pestered some children to play jacks with him.
It was fun.
Except when one of the kids accidently swallowed a bead and was hurried to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment, whereas the parents came worried and scolding the poor kid.
Junjin paid the medical bill, of course.
Sincerely apologetic, Junjin would send the children flowers, however, he was even more remorseful when he incidentally stepped on Minwoo’s foot or when he promised Hyesung he wouldn’t let Eric cheat at Rock-Paper-Scissors.
Though, he made it up to Minwoo when he allowed him to smudge hideous black ink onto his glorious face and predominately win at a game of hand-fencing, Shinhwa style.
Hyesung was harder to convince.
Considering, Junjin knew the older man despise the other and giving his rival an advantage was really staining his pride.
Junjin was trying to be helpful, but only Eric found it useful.
It took awhile- few weeks precisely until Junjin made it up to Hyesung by giving him a piggyback ride when he couldn’t walk up the stairs in his crutches. Also when Hyesung accidentally blurred out their master plan to prank Eric throughout the Shinhwa Broadcast show, Junjin assured the other man was in the safe zone when he held his hand.
It was nice to be helpful, Junjin thought before he ended up in the hospital for an unavoidable surgery and from there, he’ll probably be labeled a burden.
Or at least he thought he was until the broadcasting crew told him to leave some hints and messages for his members. It made him come to tears when he found out they had left him some comforting words- even if he does become a burden, he’ll have to endure it now.
He’s even happier to hear, Hyesung say ‘he’s helpless without him.’
Or just hopeless, but Junjin won’t mention that because he appreciates it.
Even if he becomes a helpless burden sometimes that doesn’t mean he’ll stop being helpful to others.
He inwardly cheered.
A/N: very mild fluff because I’m testing the water and I haven’t exactly thought of a plot to work with yet. OTL I probably won’t be able to work on a full story until I finish ‘Will-O’-the-Wisp’ or if I magically finish ‘Spellbound’ somewhere in the near future(though I highly doubt it). :’)
