Still reading through Samuel R. Delany's
About Writing at work.
It's going really slowly, because:
1. It's work: thus only reading on my smoke breaks and over lunch;
2. It's a nice-sized book;
3. Delany's sentence constructions are complex;
4. Delany's thoughts, opinions, and references are interesting; and
5. I keep going blank in the middle of paragraphs because I am chasing a tangential thought budding from the text, applying his thoughts/advice to my writing life; or applying his thoughts/advice to the thing I'm working on now.
In some ways, it's frustrating (I'm usually a very fast reader) and in other ways, it's delicious (So. Many. Ideas.).
